Topics:
Understanding The ROI of Database Archiving: 9:30
am – 10:45
am
Database archiving can help organizations to improve system performance,
mitigate risks and control
costs. But the benefits don’t end there. Join us to hear how
sites across industries have deployed
archiving strategies to support compliance and discovery initiatives,
decommission obsolete applications,
leverage cost effective tiered storage and speed application upgrades – just
to name a few. Most
importantly, learn how database archiving aligns with your organizational
goals of maximizing business
value of your current IT infrastructure.
The Essentials of Test Data Management: 11:00
am – 12:15 pm
Creating realistic and consistent test databases is the first step
in delivering reliable database and/or
application enhancements and upgrades. But with multiple database
clones to configure and manage,
your costs can quickly spiral out of control. Testing cycles are
extended, and releases are delayed. So,
how can you support rapid database and application deployment while
controlling costs? Join us for a
discussion of proven test data management techniques.
Learn how organizations have reduced storage costs and sped iterative
testing cycles by creating “rightsized”
test environments which accurately represent the structure of relevant
data models. Hear how sites can
automate the comparison of baseline data against successive
test run results to quickly identify
application errors. Learn about application-aware data masking techniques
that sites can leverage to deidentify
and protect confidential information in test databases.
Lunch and Round Table Q&A) 12:15
pm – 1:00 pm
Data Privacy in Non Production Environments: – How
Safe is Your Data? 1:00 pm – 2:30pm
Safeguarding the privacy of personally identifying information (like
Social Security numbers and payment
card account numbers) is not optional – it’s the law.
Organizations today deploy strict access controls to
protect data in production systems. But these measures do not meet
the unique needs of application
developers, testers and trainers, who require meaningful data to
test and deploy enterprise applications.
So, how can organizations maintain high quality testing standards
while protecting the sensitive data in
these non-production environments? Learn how you can use IBM Optim
to apply contextual, applicationaware
data masking capabilities that protect confidential data and support
data privacy compliance
initiatives in non-production (development, testing and training)
environments.
Wrap-up and Farewell. 2:30
pm – 2:45pm
